Terms of service

Last updated 7 Sept 2026

The service

Private Unlock provides a Windows desktop tool and a customer account for running device service operations, currently the Change CSC service for Samsung devices. The tool performs operations only while signed in to an account in good standing and only when the server authorises the operation.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for everything done with your account. Create one account per person or business; do not share accounts. We may suspend or restrict an account that is used in a way that harms other customers, the service or third parties, and we will tell you why.

Credits and payment

Operations are paid for with credits held in your account balance. Credits are added when a payment you have made is confirmed. Credits have no cash value outside the service and are not transferable between accounts.

Refunds

Credits reserved for an operation are returned automatically when the operation fails before the device is changed. Where an operation cannot be completed for a reason on our side, we refund the credits. Credits are not refunded for operations that completed as described.

Devices

You confirm that you are authorised to service each device you connect. The service changes the device configuration you select; we are not responsible for warranty consequences or for data on the device, which you should back up beforehand.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available at all times but may pause it for maintenance or safety. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. The current version is always published on this page.
